Commerce St – Railroad Tracks to Palmetto (City of San Antonio Public Works)

CommercePoznecki-Camarillo, Inc. was the Prime consultant contracted by the City of San Antonio Public Works department to provide engineering and surveying services for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Commerce Street.  This project included rehabilitation and reconstruction of a 4-lane downtown roadway with pavement width of 60 feet.  The scope of work included reconstruction as well as milling and overlaying existing pavement, and complete reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks, and driveways.  PCI was also contracted by SAWS for sewer main replacement and water main adjustments, and the project was joint-bid with CPS for gas main adjustments. The project involved design enhancements to include artistic benches throughout, block-out for trees and grates, and brick pavers at intersections. Tasks included project coordination, schematic design, final roadway design, utility coordination, water and sewer design per SAWS specifications, detail design, traffic control plan, specification development, and cost estimating as per city of San Antonio specifications.  This project was estimated at $3.0 million and construction was completed in 2008.
