PCI provided land surveying services for this project that spanned 10,400 linear feet of San Pedro Creek from the creek’s inlet tunnel to Guadalupe Street. The San Antonio River Authority, in coordination with the city and county, transformed San Pedro Creek as a cultural park to improve its function in flood control, revitalize the natural habitat and water quality, enhance the visual historic story of San Antonio, and act as a catalyst for economic development. The project revamped the two-mile drainage ditch into a linear park with historical and cultural amenities and connects pedestrians to the new Frost Bank Tower and the Alameda Theatre expansion project. The Culture Park features the works of prominent San Antonio artists that include murals, ceramic art, tiled benches, and historical text and poetry to depict San Antonio’s vibrant history.
