Victoria Courts (SAHA)

Victoria Courts consisted of 660 units of public housing, which was built in the early 1940s. In the fall of 1999, SAHA decided to demolish and begin the revitalization of Victoria Courts by constructing a new development consisting of mixed-use commercial, apartments, townhomes and single-family houses. PCI was contracted to provide engineering and surveying services for the demolition and redevelopment of Victoria Courts, and the reconstruction of Labor and Leigh Streets in the Downtown District of San Antonio. Tasks included surveying, platting, civil engineering, construction staking and construction observation for four units which included streets, drainage, detention ponds, sewer collection, water distribution, fire protection system, grading plans, dimension control, storm sewer, telecommunication infrastructure, utility layout design, and cost estimating.
