San Antonio Airport Strategic Development Plan

As subconsultant, PCI provided public involvement, environmental, engineering, and survey services for the San Antonio International Airport System’s Strategic Development Plan to look at the airport’s needs over the next 20 and 50 years. The data-driven plan included options regarding land use, facilities, and services required for the airport system to accommodate the growth of the region. PCI provided a utility inventory, an environmental inventory, and the logistical implementation of a targeted and robust Stakeholder Engagement Plan under the leadership of our friend and partner, Gretchen Roufs (AMS). Our engineers also developed concepts to access the airport from adjacent highways. The project was recognized by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) with the El Bronce Award of Excellence in 2018 for “Pop-Ups: Taking the Meetings to the Community” effort.
